What the head is doing
A jacquard lifts warp ends one by one. On this machine the selection is electrical. Modules sit in rows. The controller stores the design and, pick by pick, tells every hook whether it rises.
The head is a double-lift open shed in a mild-steel frame. Parts are machined at Devangurichi. The drive comes from the loom by chain or belt, so the shed stays in time with the beat you already run.
The range, by the job
- Saree: body, border and pallu, in cotton or silk.
- Dhoti: border, kara and butta, including a butta that changes without a new card set.
- Rapier: an electronic head timed to that loom.
- Power loom: the same head mounted on the shuttle loom already in the shed.
How a design gets on the machine
Prepare the figure in the weaving CAD you already use. Carry it on a USB drive. The controller stores it and shows the running design, the repeat and the pick. A fresh pallu is a fresh file. The warp and the loom stay.
